 Memory Tree
O ur beautiful Memory Tree has so far raised over £37,000 for the
Ïã¸Ûͼ¿âhospital in Hertfordshire. As a
result, in the last year alone, we have supported teams across the hospital by funding equipment for blood donors, oncology, neurology to anaesthesia and most recently we were able to fund high flow oxygen therapy, following a request from Dan Chan, a highly specialist Emergency and Critical Care Vet and Head of Clinical Services at the RVC.
Professor Chan said: “Acute respiratory disease is a very common problem in small animals and can often lead to life-threatening situations.
“Previously, effective oxygen therapy could only be achieved with mechanical ventilation under general anaesthetic at a high cost and under very labour intensive conditions. This therapy is less invasive and we’ve been able to improve the care we provide to these very critical patients and treat a greater number of them too.â€
If you would like to celebrate your much-loved pet with a leaf on our beautiful Memory Tree please visit www.rvc.ac.uk/memorytree or call 01707 666237. Each gold, silver and bronze leaf can be engraved in loving memory of a pet that you have sadly lost, or to celebrate the pets who are still with you.
W e’re pleased to report that our Mucky Pup Fun Run last October raised over
£7,000.
It was such a joy to watch so many
of you run, stumble and leap your way across our course at Hatfield House with family and four-legged friends!
We are so grateful to all of you for taking part and for raising much needed funds for our hospitals. We would also like to thank the Marquess of Salisbury for letting
us use the beautiful grounds of Hatfield House for the event.
We hope to be back in 2021 so watch this space.
